I'm up to 14 amps now, and, to be honest, it's time for me to sell some of them off. I have one old Marshall up for sale on Craigslist right now, and I have a few others that are soon to follow. I have finally decided that I keep too many things for sentimental value rather than actual value or useful purpose. I know which amps I will lug to a gig. I know which ones sound just right in the music room. Two are drum-specialty-amps, and they are fixed their purposes (one lives in the music room along with the one Alesis digital kit, and the other one stays packed up for gigs with the other digital kit.) One amp stays at our girl singer's loft, for whenever we practice over there. I even have one keyboard specialty-amp, and that one stays in the music room with the keyboard rack. It's crazy, I tell ya. Some of them have to go, and it's not a matter of what the wife says, (she wants me to have everything my heart desires), it's just time for me to lighten the load. If I drop dead tomorrow, she'll just have to sell everything off, and it scares me that she'll get taken advantage of, and somebody's going to walk off with all my gear for much less than it's all worth.
