This is exactly what I would do except I’d keep the tweed head instead of the custom Princeton

Does your wife realize she just valued herself at 7 amps? :)

Keep the four that make you the most happy. I could literally set four of my six amps on the curb with no effect on anything I am doing musically. You know which ones you are regularly using.

Tough call. I’d go Swart, ACHW, Princeton, Fargen

Compromise is needed here. Have her pick out a nice chic shelving unit and put them all in that.

If my wife was that insensitive to my acquisitions, I’d seriously look at getting rid of her.

I guess I lucked out because it was music that brought us together in the first place.

Good luck and I’m sorry for the horrible position you find yourself in.

    My picks:

    Marshall 1974x
    Vox AC15HW
    Fender Deluxe Reverb RI
    Fender ‘68 Custom Princeton Reverb

There aren't too many other colors than these 4 unless you go high gain.

    easily the best answer. bravo

My wife doesn't tell me how many amps I can have. Although 4-5 is about my range right now. It had grown to six in January and I've since sold two,,,but bought another over the weekend,,,but that one was an investment to ,,,, for some extra cash to buy a different amp,,,

Get it down to six and see how it goes from there. :)

You should list all of them for sale. At two or three times their value. When they don't sell, well, at least you tried.

I don't know all those amps but I have a vox ac4 and it recently started crackling and buzzing and humming for no reason I know, so i'd unload that one.

Keep the big ones and play them always on 10. If your wife complains about the high volume, tell her that you can't play at low volumes because she forced you to sell the small amps.
