I don't know who this is, which means he sure fits my thread parameters, right down to Tele usage.

I didn't know she existed before your post, but I agree, great player, very fluid. And that smile is infectious. I sometimes smile when I'm playing guitar. Problem is, no one can tell...

I just read the book Nothing But a Good Time so I have been listening to a lot of 80s hard rock aka hair metal. I ignored and disdained the whole genre back then, unfairly I believe.

Hmmm I guess no one lately that's not known or famous .... a lot of Mary Halvorson, Nels Cline, Julian Lage ... maybe this guy (with Tele, points for me!) who we saw at Newport is lesser known:

Nili Brosh is my current reigning champion of the guitar. She's a Berklee schooled player and I just really dig her melody lines. She also inspired me to buy my first 7-string Ibanez. Glad I did too. 7-strings and 24 frets, where have you been all my life?

Kenny Vaughan quite a bit. Been listening to his buddy Chris Scruggs a lot on the steel side of things.

You might mess around and learn something listening to those guys.

I’m not listening to any guitarists who fit the qualifications. The only guitarist I have been listening to and playing along with lately has been Robben Ford.
