I have an Ibanez PF6 dread that I play the most. I bought it in 2002. I like it because it has a skinny neck that allows me to transfer over to my Teles quite easy.

My “beater “, a Squier Affinity with upgrades Wifey gave it to me in 2009 ,my first new guitar in twenty years. In fact my first new guitar period, the others were all used. I had one guitar I was happy with before this one came along, now I have about ten.

It varies, but my most played for the past two years has been this Mosrite JR style kit build from TheFretwire.

And this is the rest of the current "first string" (Epiphone SG Special, Muslady headless kit, partscaster (GFS closeout paulownia body/KMise neck), partscaster (GFS closeout body/70's Epiphone acoustic neck), Rogue mahogany acoustic (SDOD buy).

989CEDF9-4F73-4D67-B2E4-835E2B14BBE9.jpeg This one. My FCS ‘69 Stratocaster. I have four other electrics but this one gets played more than all the others combined. I use mostly the middle pickup playing finger style, sometimes the neck pickup. I use the reverse angle bridge pickup with a pick. I’d be very content if this were my only guitar.

I’ve got three electrics. For several months, the Hendrix Strat was the clear winner. Then, I went back to my tele for a month or two. But for the past month-plus, I’ve been in a recording frenzy, and they’re all rotating fairly equally right now. The Firebird could use a good pro setup. If it was right, it might jump into the top spot, because I love the look of it.

I go through phases. Currently, I'm in an acoustic jazz/blues phase, so I picked up my very first electric guitar, my 1957 Gibson ES-225. Playing it gets me to wondering why I ever bothered getting other guitars.

If I want to play acoustic the 0000-18. If I want to play electric the custom Telecaster.

As much as I consider myself a Strat guy, my go-to over the past 7 years or so has been this R8. Pickups and harness have been swapped out from stock. Its an absolute pearl of a guitar...looks great, plays better and sounds other-worldly (to my ears...and to others who’ve heard it).

    upload_2020-5-24_19-40-18.jpeg

The dog in my lineup was this LP Traditional Plus. It was a bit of an experiment...could I get it to add to more than the sum of its parts by upgrading it, and the answer was no. It was a great looker and had all the right pieces...some ThroBaks, an upgraded harness, a relatively rare one-piece body for a Traditional, and it was fairly light. But just didn’t work. Sold it off.

20+ years of steady gigs with both of these budget greats from the '90's: a Martin D-1 and a Tex-Mex Strat (now a Partscaster). Don't really play electic at home now (apt.)

Right now, I'm still honeymooning this cutie.

I have 30+ guitars. Ten of them are Strats, six are Teles, and six are Les Pauls. Others are mixed brands, Gretsch, Mosrite, Taylor, Epiphone, etc. Since I retired two years ago I've had time to keep them all warm. No favorites, but the AVRI 54 would be right up there.

I rotate my guitars, but right now the two I play every day are my Partscaster and my Casino. I don't own a flattop acoustic guitar.

That said, I'm building a strat, and it will likely get played quite a bit after I finish it.

Y'all are extremely useful in helping me answer the little woman's question - how many guitars do you need?
I just show her these posts. 3 dozen! Four dozen! Of each!

I'm currently at 31, since building a quarantine Partscaster. So yeah, you need more! :)

My "daily driver" is my Epiphone EJ-200. Plays and sounds great, especially plugged in. Feels like it was made just for me.

My #1. Lots of tonal options and an all around great guitar!

Since the home confinement, I've played my Electromatic the most because, well, I'm too lazy to plug in and it's kind of an indestructible beater.
