Bored af at home. Tell me about the ups and downs of your guitar lineup.

The good news is I've increased the time I play with them. First time I've Had three since I left Europe.

The red '82 V is two weeks old and I love it. The neck is sooo comfortable nice easy soft V/u.
I'm not done dialing in pickup height and mating it to my amp. This thing wants to rock, like 23k and 21k the pickups measure on my multimeter.
The pots are scheisse. I may decide to replace them with 1 Meg.

For 9 years, Baby Blonde CV has taken on all-comers and put everyone else in a corner (and then on Craigslist). It's the only guitar I brought back to the states. I will never sell it. I got a tattoo of it. I think you can say I like this guitar a lot.

Even so, the LP is plugged in, innit?
Strong. In terrible shape when I spotted it in the pawn shop, I spent months working on it. (luckily I enjoy working on them as much as playing them). Then I had some hard times and sold my amp. Then when I was back eating, as they say, I conjured up the stereo Behringer.
And that's when the LP blew me away. Those are single coils under the humbucker covers. The plywood wonder body is heavily hogged out under the deck. Together it gives a bright, almost jangly tone, but with real power. Just a joy to play, and let's face it, you definitely get a very specific I-am-a-Rock-Star feeling from a Custom. (I've always wondered what happened about the diamond. You steal the rest of the headstock design, but stop short of that? Very weird). Also very comfortable neck. Like a kids baseball bat. For everything else I have myself and this forum to thank-I did so much work on that darn neck.
OK that's my current state of play. Now you.

This one. I just love it. Sounds in my hands what a strat sounds like in my head if that makes sense. Tagima T-635

changes often, I'm upwards of 4 dozen and this change in routine has afforded me time to become reacquainted with some I'd not touched in awhile, including some I'd frankly forgotten about

20200501_210246.jpg The Duosonic and Mustang. I leave the duosonic out and reachable. My son keeps leaving the mustang in his room, so I snag it back and play it.

I noticed a few days ago that if I actually intend to sit and play for a bit and not just a few minutes, I grab the tele. It's not my favorite or the most comfortable neck (the Toronado takes both of those) but the texture of the neck is great, I can do lots with the switch and knobs, and the heft feels natural. I love the look and scale of my small offsets, but my two main guitars for most of my life each weigh what both do combined.

I deliberately dont play the toronado that much, and the strat and acoustics are just occasional grabs.

It used to be my LP, but since we are confined at home and the kids are around I worry about it so I kept the Tele right at hand on a stand, where I work. So it has been played every single day for 3 months. And I have discovered new things on it. The LP has been plugged only twice so long...

EBMM Cutlass has taken a surprise come-from-behind lead over the American Special tele, followed closely by a Tribute LP. Been playing nothing but tele for a few years now but the Cutlass -- basically just a Strat with modern features -- has the best neck I've ever played.

It is rare that I don't play at least four different guitars every day. My strat get's played the least by far ... over the past few years though.

Now we know why the lefties can never find anything. They all at your crib!
Like others also quite taken with your JM Custom candy pickguarded. I'm a sucker for Block inlays. That's a guitar you play out on Saturday Night. Sweet.

The €pi Phenix hasn't been put down since I got it. I have loved that iconic look since the '70s when I saw it on "Frampton Comes Alive" and I'm not disappointed one bit in this Epiphone version.

I took it to it's first practice Thursday and it sounded absolutely killer. The boss said so too.[IMG]

My Danocaster still gets most of the play.

But I've started a recording project since lockdown started, and the LP Standard is seeing a lot of play, too.

Mine is a 2012 American Standard Strat. I've got some RF interference in my area so I put Area pickups in it (58, 67, 61). It's comfortable, versatile, and the poly paint won't melt off while it's on a stand next to my desk.
