Which current production neck shape is closest to a 60's strat?

    good morning everyone!

I'm looking to replace the neck on my partscaster strat, the current neck on there (an old Mighty Mite neck) is just too flippin big anymore for my hands, as it's probably .95" at the nut. I'm totally in love with my '77 telecaster neck on my frankenstein telly that I found earlier this year, which is very close to a classic 60s telecaster, 1.65" wide and probably .85" thick at the nut with a round C profile, and it stays pretty slim up the neck.

So who makes a neck currently that matches that spec, and what do they call that? In my case, I also would prefer a rosewood fretboard (slab or veneer, both are fine to me) and jumbo frets, since I use a LOT of bends in my playing.

    Thanks in advance,
    Franc Robert

If you have the bucks and want a really slender neck, order a Warmoth with the wizard profile. It's a little slimmer than a '80's Fender "D" profile....

Umm, that's not what I'm after-I want the classic 60's C shape, MOL. My '77 pretty much nails that (complete with a refret with jumbo frets!) and I want the same for my strat...

60s Oval or '69 U (don't let the U profile fool you. The '69 strat version is relatively slim and even tapered).

I've used a couple of the Allparts SRO-C necks which I quite like. 10" radius.

    Allparts specs-
    21 tall frets, fretwire = LT 0465-000, width: 2.0mm x 1.30mm (.079" x .051"), modern
Solid maple neck, sanded, unfinished and ready to spray
    Rosewood fingerboard
    10" radius
    Nut width 1-5/8"
    Heel width 2-3/16"
    Tuning Peg Hole Diameter .340"
    Truss Rod adjustment at heel
Neck thickness .86" at first fret, .96" at twelfth fret

The rosewood looks very light at first, a but a quick coat of boiled linseed oil sent them pretty dark.

If you can find one, Hosco does one with an almost identical spec only with medium jumbo frets.

Hmm, sounds like a good suggestion. Thanks. Do you think it would work with Pau Ferro? How did you apply it? Just put a little on a rag and rub it into the fretboard?

I did just that, and patted it down after with some kitchen paper. I threw the paper on the fire, linseed oily rags and paper can be a fire risk.

I'm not sure how much linseed oil will darken pau ferro. One rw neck I got had very pale wood- it looked almost lilac in colour. The oil brought it down and highlighted the grain nicely.

    Another one is almost black-

Both started pretty pale when they were dry.
