Which comes first: Fuzz Face or Treble Booster?

I’m shopping for a Fuzz Face, and I know that most of them need to “see” the direct signal from the guitar for best results.

But so does my Naga Viper Treble Booster, and they can’t both be first.

I know that there are fuzz faces with built-in buffers that allow them to be placed anywhere (MXR 108, Dunlop Hendrix ‘68 Shrine, Big Monk Pompeii).

Am I limited to such if I want to keep the Naga on my board? Or would a silicon Sun Face or Monsterpiece NPN work after the Naga?

I tried a Xotic Wah pedal to see how well it worked with a fuzz face (has the impedance switch), seemed to not effect it too much. You just have to be careful with buffers elsewhere in the path. Tuners and wah pedals are especially bad for this.

I would use fuzz into treble booster. I believe, that how topology of AM Sun lion works. If your Fuzz Face is also true bypass it should work.

And basically, it how I use Naga Viper with all fuzzes: Fuzz into TB.
Except Big Muff, which I prefer in opposite way to make it sound more focused. But I do not see Big Muff as straight fuzz pedal, though.

Thanks! The MXR 108 is at the top of my list, and it happens to have a switchable buffer, so if I get it I’ll be able to experiment and see what I like best.

My other top contender, the VS Audio Pandora Fuzz, also has a buffer, and I don’t think it is switchable. Would that limit it to going after the treble booster?

UPDATE: I took delivery of a Chase Tone Fuzz Fella 2.0 this week, and I prefer it after the NV. I set NV with Range up, the Heat down, and Boost in the middle. This results in sparkly highs and clear lows when the guitar volume is rolled back, and searing saturation and sustain, without loss of definition, when it’s up.
