I like both colors. But what looks better than an old aged LPB? We'll have to wait on the Tidepool.

Neither. Only like guitars in Earth colors; burst, white, natural, etc.

Kinda wish they'd offer tidepool with a rosewood (ergh...pau ferro) fretboard.

Ditto. The only "greenish" tidepool I've seen is in the product photos directly from Fender. Everything else I've seen in photos or in person has been more of a metallic cerulean kinda thing. The tidepool in Fender's pics almost looks ocean turquoise-ish, which is itself not a bad finish.

I think this is one of those where it would depend on the pickguard color. And yes, in pics online, sometimes Tidepool looks more like LPB than LPB and vice-versa. Without seeing side-by-side, would be hard to choose.

LPB is a classic fender colour, tidepool really isn't. It's a recent colour and probably hang around.

Fender Japan has some lovely blues right now (here's my Fender MIJ Hybrid '60s Telecaster in Sonic Blue)...

I think, for my personal tastes, I'd rank the Fender blues as follows -

    1. Ice Blue Metallic
    2. Lake Placid Blue
    3. Sonic Blue
    4. Daphne Blue
