Which amp should i go with?

    Sorry, out of the amps I've owned Marshall's, Fender's, Orange, Line 6 etc.. The best and most consistent have been Fender for me, others will pick their own. As for Blackstar, I'll leave that for the boys in the know.

    For punk etc. I would get a Marshall DSL.40. No mic needed. Or a 15!if you want small but killer tone.

    Do you need small cleans or is the rock and punk all on the dirty side?

    $600 rules out a number of the suggestions here. I'd be thinking used Fender Blues Jr, but if you need Fender cleans, that's not a good choice. A VOX AC15 either new or used will get you some shime but not Fender cleans. Fender Tweed Deluxe used is in the range.

    Blues Jr, 500,000 owners across the planet can't be wrong. Three 12ax7s and two El84s do the job almost too well. Around $600 new
