Orange Rocker 15. I have the head and think it’s quite brilliant. The ‘headroom/bedroom’ feature is fantastic for home play. 15W of tube power, scalable down to 0.5W. It has a speaker out for adding a cab. The crunch is perfect for Punk and Hard Rock. The Natural channel takes pedals like a champ!

Here’s my cover band doing some Punky Joe Jackson.

I've had both, but have the Pro now. Very powerful little amp, with nice cleans. The Pro was more to my liking, as I play at home. The Blues Jr is just a little bit too much for me, but if you're gigging, then I would go with the Blues Jr. Definitely try them both if you can.

That is EXACTLY the sound i was looking for with the features i am looking for, does it have good cleans and a little more gain for when needed?

The Champion 50XL is the only Champion I've played. I owned a Mustang, great Amps, but I couldn't be bothered with all the tech.

Fantastic amp, but the OP is in Europe, and not sure if they are on a budget, maybe something in €900 mark is a little much. Wouldn't like to say though.

Gain there was at about 12:30, with a Bad Monkey OD giving it a little goose. There’s still lots on tap, and it loves OD pedals. With a treble booster, and the gain at 9:00, you’re in NWOBHM territory. I love the Natural channel and it stays clean and loud dialed at noon with hot humbuckers, plenty more to go with Tele pups. It doesn’t have EQ on the Natural channel, the tone stack is completely bypassed. It’s the true sound of my guitars, and guitar tone controls work well. I also keep an Ibanez EQ pedal in the excellent, tube buffered fx loop, and it takes the place of a tone stack like a champ. High gain pedals sound killer through this channel, I’m currently using a Friedman BE-OD for anything heavier than the dirt channel can’t. I used that a couple years ago to play rhythm on Enter Sandman, and it was perfect and chuggy. I’ve honestly been very happy with this amp and can’t see myself ever parting with it.

For your budget a blues jr or a roland blues cube hot could be perfect. I own both of them and they're quite close. It depends on if you're in the tube thing or not. I couldn't say that one is better than the other. Both have their qualities and they do sound great.

Incredible crunch, it got me hooked on Orange dirt....but it has the worst, anemic cleans I’ve ever heard. No fx loop, either. The Rocker 15 Terror addressed all my concerns. It’s my perfect amp.

I owned a Blues jr for about 3 years. I was never thrilled with it but it was my first tube since the 70s and it was relatively cheap back in the early '00's.

The cleans were good but the speaker sucked so I used an extra cab I had with a seasoned Celestion 12". That helped. But the reverb tank was pitiful. So tinny I couldn't use it.

Cranking it up for some drive did not improve things. It sounded like a Princeton which, to me, just sounds fuzzy not overdriven. And the FAT switch...don't get me started. Just more fuzz.

Not long afte, I started reading here and elsewhere about all the moola people were spending modding the thing so it would sound better. Back when it was $300 maybe but now they're up around $5 I believe so you might as well get a Hot Rod and call it even.

I have demoed a Pro jr and liked the Tweedy sound it had but had little depth and obviously no reverb or adequate tone. Just 2 knobs for volume and tone. Simple but kind of a one trick pony.

I'm sure owners of the Pro will flay me but that's okay. Like I said, I only demoed it. I like a variety of tones so I go with my modelers and never look back.

My opinions are only mine. Good luck with your hunt

No flaying from me. It's all about what you prefer on a personal level. :D
