Sheesh, the only time that there are no coyotes around here is when bears or mountain lions are in the vicinity.

It is de riqueur to cross country ski with a .44 strapped on up here.

I live in the piney woods. See and hear coyotes all of the time. Shot a couple of them too.

And I’ve always wanted to go snow skiing. Maybe next winter. Flying might be safer then.

Where I am in Ontario we have wolf-coyote hybrids - about German Shepherd size - and while I wouldn't call them aggressive, they are definitely not afraid. Had three of them chase my dog out of the woods the other day. They stopped when they saw me but took a long look and moved off very slowly.

T.O? Was reading about problem coyotes outside of South Ottawa this summer, they were getting aggressive too. We hear them a lot where we are, we have a couple of orchards nearby and the live there, seen one or two on the road at night walking the dog but they haven't bothered us so far.

Yes, west end TO. We have some fairly heavily wooded areas where I take the dog - you would never know you're in the city.

In the last month I have seen two large dead raccoons just off the trail - looks like their necks were snapped. I'm thinking it may be the work of the coy-wolves. Apparently they try to eliminate any competitors.

The Coyote is probably still aggressively using those ACME products, too.
Glad you made it out alive! Beep Beep!!

I wouldn't worry too much about an aggressive coyote...he is probably just looking for this guy:
