Where/when do you do most of your music listening for enjoyment?

For me it's every morning in the shower, and in the car whenever I'm driving (which I do very little of these days)

I've considered listening through earpods while walking around the city, but I think that'd be potentially hazardous with all the horrible drivers around here - having said that I should start listening at the gym, rather than being subjected to all the "ooon ssss ooon ssss ooon sss"

where and when do you do your music listening for enjoyment? (to differentiate from for learning guitar parts)

In my car or anyplace that's quiet with no visual distractions using a good set of old fashioned over the ear head phones.

Driving for sure. I usually have my old iPod running in the car.

I listen to the radio sometimes if I’m in the kitchen, a mixture of rock radio (the often sadly cliched Planet Rock), and talk / current affairs (the usually excellent BBC Radio 4).

I listen to music a lot when I’m working, but does that count as listening for pleasure?!??

In the back room where my turntable is if I have time in the evening or I'll throw a record on while cooking.

Sometimes I can listen to music while doing mundane tasks at work.

I drive a lot ( gigs/Uber driver), though have cut back in the last year.
So my answer is my car- (still) CD's and (still) FM radio.
My last 2 cars ( both totalled in accidents- stI'll kind of freak me out) each had AWESOME Bose sound systems and 6-disc CD players, that I will always miss. ( current car, just 1 CD)
- I assigned each disc spot to a different music I like:
#1 Bob Dylan
#2 Grateful Dead
#3 OPEN Country/Roots/Bluegrass
#4 OPEN Rock/blues
#5 Steely Dan
# 6 Jazz

* neurotic, I know but I loved playing my selections

I'm up at 5:30 a.m. on weekdays, so I need to be quiet in the house, especially now that my mother-in-law has temporarily moved in for awhile.

My commute is like 20-40 minutes depending on traffic, so that's my music time - '22 4Runner -> Android Auto -> Spotify.

I've really been enjoying listening to Laika & The Cosmonauts, Los Straitjackets, and The Mermen for the last few mornings and afternoons.

I've actually got a set of cans at work, but honestly can't get used to listening with headphones for more than maybe 40 minutes or so. I need to find something that's super comfy on the ears (not a fan of any earbuds I've yet tried).

This does remind me though that I think I'm going to make a Jim Campilongo playlist today though, if time allows.

A lot around the house—doing chores, etc.

At work, I tend to listen to podcasts more, because they’re easier to ignore and I can do that with one earbud—two of them can be dangerous on a construction site.

90% of the time in the car, I'm listening to NPR.....news. At home, usually when I'm "listening", I'm "learning". I have my computer audio going into a 30 watt amp, and bookshelf speakers, so decent sound. I have hundreds and hundreds of CDs and vinyl LPs that never get played anymore.....but visitors are impressed when they see them. ;)

I don’t listen to music when I drive.
I drive a lot.
I try to concentrate on only that.
I hate any distractions while I'm driving, so I only now do something that allows me basically to play a playlist, or if it's older tech, I'll put a bunch of songs on a flash drive, and basically just let it roll. Then all I end up doing is adjusting the volume here and there, or maybe skipping a track.

I've got an old pickup truck that currently doesn't have a real functioning stereo in it, and I kind of like it that way. That said, I got a little head unit that I intend to eventually install, that was like $50 or so, that only has AM/FM, USB, and bluetooth. So it's going to get a flash drive when I install it, and I'll be able to pair my phone with it, for hands-free answering of calls and such.
