Do it. As long as the return policy is solid it's pretty risk-free.

My two AO guitars were flawless.
Yeah, there's some sort of guaranteed rule that you can change you mind when it comes to online purchases. 14 days! plenty to figure out whether I like it. I know they're good, good guitars. They're even compared to CS guitars but you might still dislike it or get a bad one.

Can I ask, what is the other AO guitar you got?

I can officially announce I've just bought my own American Original 60s telecaster in Burgundy Mist Metallic! Unless the online stock wasn't properly displayed, it is officially mine!! :D

@526THz Thank you for this tip, I have NO IDEA how this one stayed under the radar. I was even looking in the US for F**k sakes! You may have just connected me to a life long partner.

nice- I am thinking its going to be one sweet guitar!
I sure hope so! For some reason after reading all the comments on videos and forums and hearing what people like andertons had to say about it, I almost have this idea in my head they're magical. I hope I won't get too dissapointed.

I hope this is “the one”!
And I hope the purchase goes smooth!
Out of curiosity, what option for payment? Bank transfer?
I’ve never purchased guitars online from that store (I bought 3 in store), only pedals and valves, and I’m curious!!

I hope so too, I will admit I'm slightly stressing over it. Hope it all works out fine!

I was considering bank transfer but went with visa. Reason being I once HAD to send back a guitar which then got lost during shipping. After alot of calling around someone of the shipping company advised me to buy with VISA for the 'customer protection rules' in the future. I don't know how to explain properly in English, sorry.

You think it was a bad idea to use VISA? I checked all their socials and decided to read through like 200-300 reviews out of the almost 500 on the internet. They seemed legit and professional.

Absolutely!!! I think credit card is perfect!
As I said, I’m not sure how many days they’re closed during Christmas, so there might be some delay, that’s the only thing! The store has a very good reputation!

From what I can tell on their website they're are obviously closed today and on monday too due to "St. Stephen's Day". No clue what that is though. They should be open again on tuesday.

I have the 60's in Surf green with matching headstock, was a ltd. run in 2021.

Also have a Thinline in 3TS.

Congrats on your buy, hope it's everything you hope it to be.

I know this shop and I can guarantee that you will have zero issue with them. The guitar will arrive safe and souns and probably perfectly set up.

At least that's my experience with them. Professional and helpfu.

Congrats!

Thanks for comforting me. Reading this made me smile!

Now all I need to do is figure out whether I want the AO50 strat in white blonde too, or stick with my ultra in texas tea 😁

Of course you want that 50s strat! ;-)
I know one for sale right now, for a good bit less than the tele I just bought.. So, so tempting.
I'm absolutely in love with the white blonde. Even more so the Mary Kaye version with the gold hardware 😍

I’ll ask you since you have both the AO60’s Tele and the AO60’s Thinline: how do the necks compare on these two? I LOVE the AO60’s necks and I’ve often wondered if the Thinline is a similar profile/taper or if it’s slimmer being based on a late 60’s design instead.

I owned an AO50’s Strat for a year. It has a VERY different neck than the AO60’s. Soft V. Very chunky. It was a good guitar but ultimately I let it go because I didn’t bond with it. I like all my AO60’s guitars better.
