I tried pretty hard. It looks like a train station and my guess would be from 1960-1970 for its construction. The building behind it looks like that typical 60s style architecture. I see dragons in the motif and the position of the human with tilted back head resembles Aztec art, to me. It's found in a Mexican restaurant and the print looks old. I concur about the 68 Mexico City Olympics but I can't find a thing on it. You'd think it would get a hit in seconds through Google.

I'm guessing the dragon is a flying serpent, Quetzalcoatl. What I thought was another dragon figure on the left side of the "terminal/building" is an emaciated man laying on his side with feet drawn up slightly behind him.

It sure looks like @Mexitele Blues has put us on to the correct architect. Now all we have to do is track down the specific building, no doubt somewhere in a large city in Mexico.

This mystery must be solved! This is now officially a TDPRI Bad Dog Cafe crusade. :D

Speaking of pictures in Tex-Mex places, there's one around here with a bunch of pictures on the wall. Many of the pictures are from Austin joints I used to frequent. But the place itself has no connection to anywhere on Texas. Kinda cheesy...

I misplaced mine awhile back, then remembered that I’d been using it out by the compressor in the barn.

Man, I was relieved when I found it. It gets quite pricey for a good one.

Yes, Centro Médico Nacional Siglo XXI, built in 1962. But remember, @paulblackford found it. I just found a better picture.

It being a transportation terminal and probably about the flying serpent/dragon. I think I did get the construction period pretty close.

Looks like it’s had a roof put on it since the pic I posted.

By the way, here is some more of the art work in the same restaurant. There are probably 30 by this same artist across the place.

I have been to Mexico City many, many times. Lots of fascinating architecture to see...a cool place to visit.

Pricey alright! Mine was more so, 'cause I got the battery powered electric model, and as soon as I find out was it does, I'll be back for a spare battery or two I reckon.....

Now I’ve got to Google Earth it and have a proper look.
