I posted this on Strat-Talk, but apparently everyone's asleep over there.

Is this information known? Or, was it in the plane and destroyed when it went down? I've been in a Bonanza before and there ain't a whole lot of room in them. My hunch is the guitar stayed on the bus. If so, where is it today?

Thanks for any info.

I did some very extensive research on the crash some years ago. If I recall correctly, the instruments were on the bus. The air passengers only took their personal items like toothpaste etc. that they could carry on in small bags i.e. I think their luggage was also on the bus too. The plan was that the stars were going to fly to the next destination and get some rest, and the bus would be there the next day once it was repaired, again if I recall correctly.

Discussed @5:35 here...

That's pretty cool man! I didn't know he owned so many guitars. I guess he was a gear nut like the rest of us LOL! ;) RIP Ritchie! Thanks for the GREAT rock n roll that I'm still diggin' to this day! Got your 45's too mate :)
