First, young grasshopper, you must find where the missing socks go. Then, and only then, will you find the elusive capo that you seek.

Did you look on top of your head? That's where my glasses usually are. Socks, less often....

My first capo was a short pencil, with a couple rubber bands. Worked fine.

I do have a son at home. He doesn't play, but I looked anyway. It wasn't in his room... but he does need to pick his clothes up off the floor. Messy kids...

It's not in the fridge or on my head.

I never even owned a capo until March (or so). I'm sure I had it on June 4 (I even checked the pockets of the shirt I was wearing that day - even though I'm sure it's been washed since then.). After that date, I think it was around for a while, but I couldn't say for sure.

Obviously, I don't use a capo a whole lot. But, it does come in handy sometimes (not today).

Your capo is doing a ten year stretch for racketeering and tax evasion, but with good behavior he gets parole in five.

Thanks! You ruined my day. Now I can't find my capo, or my tuner!

Funny, but I just found mine, after it went MIA for about 6 months.
It was in a winter shirt pocket.
I just got another, so now I have two
I use it on 2 original tunes, otherwise I use it for a string clamp.
It's handy when adjusting old school Fender truss rods.
Anyways, check your cool weather shirt pockets.

I once lost my guitar strap and earplugs.. lost it for about a month..
Strap was in my closet in my room along with my mics and some pedals. Earplugs were in my guitar case from the guitar i play all the time! Try looking in some very obvious places.

To the OP - Any chance it's clipped on a mic stand? I usually misplace mine in rehearsal when I'm making a quick change.

It's always in the last place you look.

look suspiciously at your dog. If he looks back guiltily, follow him around for awhile. He will go anywhere but near the capo, process of elimination (thats a pun, I say, pun that is)
