So I got an awesome B-Bender tele and installed the B-bender unit (from WD Music - CW model) and it came with a small square piece of cork and can't figure out where it is supposed to go? Any idea? I was surprised that it did not come with directions. This is the model I got...

Don`t it act as a cushion when you raise the bender up against the body to stop noise.

No you glue it into the routed cavity right where the bender strap lever comes to rest. It sits right underneath the black rubber on the strap lever. In other words...the black rubber cushion on the strap lever comes to rest on top of the cork which is glued to the inside of the routed cavity
