Hey gang! I hope this is the right spot to post this.

I'm wondering where everyone keeps their capos? I use the pretty standard Kyser style capo. On my acoustics, it just clips onto the hheadstock between the rows of tuners—plenty of real estate. With the tele though, there's so little room to clip it on.

Where do you keep yours? I imagine the answer will be different for gigging situations vs. living rooms, but I'd love to hear all of it.

In a dish with picks and tuners in my music room. On top of the amp next to the equalizer outside.

Clipped on the headstock of my acoustic. If I get back to playing out again I carry it in my case, of course.

Since you’re asking,I only use a capo on acoustic guitars. But that’s just me . If I did use one with a Tele I would probably hang it on my left front pants pocket

In a case containing a long-neglected project guitar, right alongside my lap steel slide.

I remember this clearly right now, but whenever I need one of those things, I end up turning everything upside down before remembering.

It seems there should be a better place to keep th—hey, look! Cool butterfly!

It floats around in my music room or in my gig bag, but the last few years if I come across something that requires a capo, I usually just pass. Same with something that requires alternate tuning. Just a hassle for no reason.

    I've got a Capo?

Well in that case I haven't got a clue where I keep it. If I find out, I'll let you know.:)

In my gig bag: when I get to play a gig again one day it will be clipped onto the mic stand when I’m not using it.
I saw Francis Dunnery playing an acoustic set once (at a tiny Edinburgh venue) and he couldn’t find his capo — sent his roadie looking for it — it was in his guitar case but they couldn’t find the key — told a bunch of amusing stories and generally took the mickey out of his roadie till the capo was produced. Moral of the story: if you’re going to use a capo, know where it is!

I'm not telling. Y'all will take it if you misplace yours.

The black Dunlop is either in a case or on a headstock. The gold dunlop is supposed to be in the tele case, but I can't remember where it went.
The red one I dont like very much is in the Alvarez case. The elastic one is in the cable bag to loan to people and hopefully not get back.
The expensive variable pressure ones are in the basement by the spare parts and In the pack-a-seat because they're not any better than the black dunlop, take extra time, and lead to questions I can't answer honestly to myself or onlookers........

Schubb capo goes in pick box on my amp at home; at gigs I keep capo and slide in my back left pants pocket.

I keep them in cases. I haven't used one in months and months. The only time I can recall using one since the whole "2020 not so fun event" started was trying to figure out a Chris Stapleton song by ear where he was clearly using a Capo.

I would have said I have one in each case.. but I bought a new guitar recently and I went and bought some stuff for the case so I have it.. a tuner, a slide (another thing I don't use much), a little one of those plastic pick holders, string cutter/winder, etc..

And I totally forgot to get/put a capo in the case for the new guitar. I have an extra in my acoustic case I guess though.

Usually they only come out when playing acoustic with others and everyone wants to use a capo.
