These things are great! I checked out this link :http://www.nudiesrodeotailor.com/ . It seems they stopped making them after Mr. Nudie died. Does anyone know of anyplace that makes something similar?

Manuel has been carrying the torch. He was Nudies apprentice, and has made some of the most famous suits that are out there. Elvis' jumpsuits etc. Manuel is the man.

You can get stuff OTR, or look around on eBay for other western wear, like Pagano, Scully etc.

Maybe shop some high end thrift stores, like in San Fransico or nashville. Some shops sell over the internet.

On a less serious note maybe you could buy a Bedazzler at Toy R Us, a glue gun and an off the rack suit. Just sayin'.;)

BTW I saw the Grateful Dead once where they all wore Nudie Suits (except Phil Lesh). I think that was the only time they wore them. It may have been the same night the Rowen Brothers opened and they had coats with little flashing lights all over them. The deadheads couldn't handle it at all. It was "too Las Vegas" or something. I think that mistake cost them a career.

Aw man.... I'd kill for a nudie suit. Over the top, and out of control. I've had to settle for a closet full of Panhandle Slim shirts instead.

I remember Marty Stuart telling a story about the first time he went to Nudies to get a suit and didn't have near the fee. Manuel took him aside and hooked him up with a nice fitted shirt, gratis, and told him to come and see him in a few years. (paraphrasing of course but once he made some money, Marty returned and became a loyal customer.
