I wouldn't want a telecaster that sounds like a strat. If anything, I want all other guitars to sound more like a tele.

Ducks should quack - not guitars ;)

My Strats all have 3 way switches, like Leo intended. But seriously, I just never used those in between positions, so the 3-way helps me not hit the 2 and 4 positions by accident.

I want my Strats to sound like Teles in the bridge position and my Teles to sound like Strats in the neck position.

I’ve been looking for a trem like that!! What is it? Awesome guitar!

My less awesome guitars that I think cover a lot of ground:

Well, now I see where you got your screen name from! :) Very cool guitars!

The trem is a Wilkinson. The guitar itself is a Fret-King, which was designed with help from Trev Wilkinson himself. The earlier versions actually had his name on the headstock decal, but mine's a later model after he stopped working with them.

All of the hardware and electronics are Wilkinson, even the pickups and locking tuners. You might not be able to see it in the pic, but the tone control has a concentric control that lets you vary the amount of coil tapping on the humbuckers. Pretty cool feature.

EDIT TO ADD: The trem needs a back cavity rout like that of a Strat.
