What is everyone looking forward to when 'peace' is declared?

I just can't wait to see my Dad & then meet up with friends, at my friends bar & 'have a few pints'.

Looking forward to taking my wife out. We have a nice spot we like to have lunch and split a pitcher.
    Hope they open again.

Speaking of war, remember some old propaganda that might be still relevant today

Family for sure. After that I'm going to the beach and get a giant plate of fried clams.

Getting out to our favorite restaurants.

Hey Chinched, we want two seats at the bar !

We'll miss our trips to Europe this year. Some day. Sigh....

Having friends over to supper. :(

Get out, walk around, family, have some barbecue with my friends, and MAYBE exercise. But when this is over i will probably be a fat tub of lard.

I just want to go back to gigging, and Uber driving.

Feel bad for my acoustic duo, bass playing partner, who books our gigs.
He has really worked his ass off for 2 years ( since we started duo), booking us in Brewpubs and Wineries all over NoVa- all gone now.
Every day ( since I'm on our groups Facebook ' mail list') I get a ' this event has been canceled ' alert.

But to quote Jerry Garcia in the beautiful " Wharf Rat" ( A GD fave of mine):

" But I'll get back on my feet someday.
The good Lord willin', if he says I may"

( not really religious, just like the sentiment or poetry)

I'm a glass-half-full kind of guy... but I just can't see any kind of 'normality' resuming for at least several months yet... So I keep occupied, go for a walk most days, and take solace in the natural beauty of the earth that's probably grateful the humans have stopped trying to break it for a little while ...
Hmmm ...that glass seems to be getting a bit emptier - maybe I should be thinking about what happens after our 'voluntary house arrest' is over, too!
    Stay safe, friends...

Our deck is large enough for some social distancing BBQs with friends, so when the weather gets nice (it's presently snowing with record cold tonight), not sure my life has changed much anyway. Well, except for lack of a good haircut. IMG_3104.JPG
