Very rarely do gigs go off like clockwork for me.
Always a speed bump, hiccup, natural disaster ....

But, Thursday night I hosted the Jam night that I gave up 11 Months ago.
We did that for a year and a half. Times changes, our lives changed, we hung that one up but, with our heads held high and zero hard feelings.

I got the call that they needed a fill in for one night. The others were all for it so, off we went.

We got there about two hours early to fight and wrestle with the house lights and pa.

To our amusement, when we were 100% set-up and Sound-Checked, we still had an Hour to spare!

It made for such a relaxed segue in to night ahead.

Good Times, enjoy them while you can and give thanks!

I didn't have to hit "play" before "liking" your post. If it says Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler.....I'm IN!!!!!!!

    It’s great when that happens
An engineer I know says, “when theory and practice comes together something is terribly, terribly wrong”

That's what it is all about for us.
    I'm the default PA guy.
When the PA (House system) doesn't work, I am no fun to be around.
When it doesn't work because of what somebody else did the night before ... I have ranted too many times about that.

This one has been put on display in my happy memory vault for the rest of time.
    YEP!!!

    Mr Engineer, Faders Up!

The Bass Player and I are playing there next weekend with our Main Band.
We are almost afraid to go.
We hope we haven't invoked some kind of curse that will work against us.
    :)
