Phil Ochs, the folk singer, died at 35 years of age! (His last name is pronounced “ox”).
He wrote this beautiful song about life after death, but he hung him self at 35!!
I can see irony in there… somewhere. Was he predestined to die young?
I posted Phil’s version of the song, followed by Eric Anderson’s version, which I like better than Phil’s original.
The lyrics are top notch, and philosophical. Definitely gives one time to reflect on one’s own destiny.
