As long as it's not a "white" pizza I'm game. If it doesn't have tomato sauce then it isn't a pizza in my book. As I get older I find I go more for veggies than meats. I've switched from pepperoni to sausage as my "go to" meat. The weirdest I've ever had was a personal pan seafood pizza at a Pizza Hut in Iceland. It was the cheapest thing on the menu when I needed a "cheap" meal (the cost of anything being "cheap" there being quite relative). I didn't recognize any of the pictures of the fish on the menu describing the pie (in Danish...). It hit the spot.

My favorite toppings are double pepperoni, Italian sausage, and extra cheez. But I also like a good chicken alfredo type, jalapenos, and veggies.

OMG!!! There was a Shakey's Pizza in San Angelo, TX, in the early to mid-1990s. I was in college at the time. My favorite lunch date was going to Shakey's for pizza, fried chicken, taters, and watching cartoons in the main room. Once we turned 21, add a pitcher of beer or three and it was perfect!!!

I have two crusts that I make, one with high protein, and the other low. I use the All-Trumps unbleached/unbromated when I want something really stretchy and chewy. Mid to upper 50s is perfect. You can go way high on the hydration with the high protein. Agreed that that is the definition of "pizza smell" and a perfect NY style. Otherwise, I use an Italian 00, with hydration just over 50. I use that when I'm making a lighter, less filing crust. Baking stone is permanently in the oven. It makes the oven work better no matter what you're making.

Regardless of the crust, I prefer an overnight rise in the refrigerator once the yeast has started to move. I'm using less cheese lately, and letting the flavor of the crust come through.

Pepperoni, ham and feta, black olive and green pepper (also with pepperoni). I can, and do, live without pineapple or mushrooms on pizza, that's just a waste of good pizza

Mushrooms, cheese, mackerel, prawns, bell peppers very finely sliced, jalapeno peppers.

Bit of black pepper. Bit of vinegar. Bit of mayo if you got a hangover. Bit of cayenne pepper for the hit.

Cheddar and a blue cheese go well together.

You can very finely slice a garlic clove to add a bit of zest...

But I like the bacon and onions or meatball at "Modern". Cant be too choosey I suppose. :)

Instead of frozen pizza like DiGiorno etc theres another place here not on the list but real popular and arguably as good as all the above called Zuppardi's same thin crust but they sell their pizza frozen a few different ways same price as DiGiorno.

Cheese only; a good pizza stands on its own, without anything to "hide" behind. Maybe some good quality Italian sausage but for the most part, no embellishments.

For example with tomato, onion and garlic; well-seasoned mincemeat, cheese; blue cheese sits in particularly well. Top up with a freshly-ground black pepper and a dash of rosemary; finalize with a generous helping of basil. All ingredients fresh, of course.

Don't judge till ya try it ;-)

Tomato sauce, mature cheddar instead of mozarella, black olives, much mushrooms, liberal black pepper and a sprinkle of Basil.
