I do like a nice ham, mushroom and pineapple pizza myself though!

Fresh Tomatoes are my favorite on top of a combo.

If I'm ordering a pie for myself, I usually get tomato sauce, mozzarella, sausage, onions, and green olives. If someone else orders, I'll eat whatever traditional pizza toppings are on there. What I don't want on my pizza...white sauce, BBQ sauce, chicken, pulled pork, broccoli, or basically any of the stuff that the younger kids seem to like these days.

I really miss Shakey's Pizza. They used to be everywhere. Fond memories.

The missus and I drove to Chicago last year just to try a Chicago deep dish pie. We ended up going to Lou Malnati's and it was excellent. I know some people don't consider the deep dish to be pizza, and maybe it isn't technically a pizza. Whatever it is, it's delicious. And contrary to popular belief, it is not the same as a thick crust pizza. The crust on the bottom is fairly thin, actually, and the cheese goes right on top of the crust, and the sausage and sauce go on top of that. We could only eat one slice apiece, because it's so filling, but we saw a couple of guys each take down a whole pie.

I have never been to New York, but I will go there some day just to try a good NY style pie.

Just remember that there's NY style pie and then there's NY style pie. The pizza joints on every corner that sell by the slice are really just fast-food joints. They're good, but you don't wanna judge "NY pizza" by that. Then there's places like Lombardi's, John's, Patsy's, and I'm sure other better places that serve Neapolitan style pies. And lots of neighborhood joints in the boroughs that each have their own variations.

If I am ordering with others, I can eat any kind of pizza, but like the OP I like good old pepperoni.

My guilty pleasure when I am ordering alone is pepperoni anchovies. For some reason no one wants to eat it with me...oh well, more for me I guess. :)

Not a big fan of pizza chains. Give me a plain margherita pizza and life is good.

Anchovies and banana peppers. Hooooweeeee, that's good.

Also used to love bacon, pineapple and jalapeño.

Before the tick bite mammal meat allergy.

    Damn, you ticks!

Red onions, feta, black olives. Also hot sauce and oregano and crushed garlic. And a coffee cup of olive oil to dip the crusts in.

And yet I did have a date once. Back in the '80s when organic breath was a happnin' thing....

I'm a meatzza guy. Ground beef, sausage, ham, bacon and pepperoni, maybe some black olives to finish it off.

    Meatzza...mmmm

I don't get the pineapple hate. It works well with tomato sauce. Use fresh pineapple, and cut it the right size.
