It was the self-proclaimed "Houseboat Capital of the World", which may have been true before the 2008 recession, which put most of the local houseboat factories out of business.

But what I think is coolest is that it's the birthplace of Gibson's Ted McCarty.

I always claim Fort Worth, but I grew up in a small town just south of Fort Worth…Kelly Clarkson grew up there too, a decade and a half later.

Well, I live in Pittsburgh and many people would say Primanti Brothers. For those that never have, it's actually a pretty good deli sandwich, nothing like New York, but before they give it to you they pile it high with soggy greasy french fries. And no, they won't make it any other way. Let's face it, if it was that good every city would make them. So no, it's not that.

According to the 7:30 report many years ago my hometown (Sawtell NSW Australia) is the capital of cannabis growing in NSW. Since then I'm guessing it has been overtaken by Nimbin but still...it's a record of sorts.
