Just curious what people gravitate to when not playing a Telecaster. If a Tele is your #1, what would be your #2? Pictures are always welcome.

Well at the moment it’s my other #1 equal with the Tele — this AO’60s Jazzmaster.

Majority will tag the Strat, then an LP and SG, the big four. Then it"s a c#*pshoot

If we can include acoustics, easy. It’s my 1958 Gibson (AJ-shaped) Country Western from the Gibson Custom Shop. Think Southern Jumbo with natural finish.

If we have to stick to electrics, it’s my Gibson Les Paul gold top. But there are days when it’s temporarily my Jackson Soloist “Super Strat”. But once I get that out of my system, it goes back to being my Les Paul.

Pretty soon, it could change to whatever P90-laden beast I decide on. Probably an SG, but Reverend has that one with three P90s and a whammy bar that looks pretty nice in Alpine Green. I haven’t decided yet. If I go with the SG, I’ll need to find a monkey sticker somewhere. :D

1939 Martin D18 that DIDN'T get away 47+ years ago, for acoustic (see avatar). Electric is my Epi Sheraton USA Reissue (2006). 20171114_133334.jpg

Nice guitar! I have the same color on a CME special run Jazzmaster, with a matching headstock.

I still like my Strats, but gravitate towards my Teles these days. I've thought about trading my nicer Am Std for a Tele, but don't know if I can pull the trigger.

I got the idea on here of setting up one of my Strats for standard D tuning, and I like that a lot--an older MIK with Gold Lace Sensors, decked trem. Gives it a different frequency response and resonance--another flavor in the spice rack.

View attachment 808822 My Gretsch Anniversary is out now. 5 watts of class A clarity and a BOSS EQ-200 brought it to life. It’s wonderful for vocal accompaniment.

Then there’s my #1, an FCS ‘69 Stratocaster. This one is close to perfect for everything I play.

Unfortunately I don't currently own a tele but hope to get another soon.
Besides my '93 "Squier Series" strat, I play my '92 Sorrento often but I have several others to choose from.
I removed the Bigsby and re-installed the trapeze tailpiece because there wasn't enough string tension on the saddles. These are awesome guitars and a great value. I could never afford or justify having a Gibson ES125TDC so this is as close as I can get.

any decent set pickup single cut archtop. i have a guild ce-100, but i'd be equally happy with a gibson or a vintage epi.
