Just make sense for my situation. Practical but pricey but will fit inside my practice area/office.
Since the only Strat I have is a lefty I have considered a hard tail Strat sea foam blue with green guard and slab board. Crazy compressed pickups! Just in the thinkin about phase.
Those can sound really cool!!
I have a Boss GT-6, so I'll be able to play with the EQ on that. Coincidentally, our worship pastor plays through a really bright AC15, so I tend to play a little darker anyway. Sounds like a win all around! I'm looking forward to getting one in the next few weeks.
Vick audio overdriver
Greer amps southland
Seymour Duncan shapeshifter v2
Orange OR15 (plus all the others)
Taylor grand auditorium
PRS Mira semi hollow
One of these, in the worst way...
I lust mightily after this
But not having a significant bank balance I will be making a Tuff Dog tribute from this kit with the necessary hardware upgrades
Any ´56 will do!
MF cuts the price on those to $299 pretty regularly. Assuming that it's the import version. I'm not sure if the US ASAT Classic is available in the same color. I almost bought one back in November.
My current GAS is for a new Mustang. Unfortunately they're not offering it in the configuration that I want. P90s with a maple board in a fun color. The Torino Red is ok. The rest of the Mustang colors are kind of drab.
Dammit, I want the Kotzen Telecaster!
I know I already posted, but also some kind of black face or silver face reissue, maybe a deluxe ...
I just did a total impulse buy for a trini lopez style 335-ish Cozart guitar on ebay. For $150 I figured I could mess with it and not feel nervous about it. Obviously love Dave Grohl's guitar but I don't have Dave Grohl's bank account. Plus, I like the Trini style diamonds as opposed to f-holes.
Been wanting one of these for a few months now. I don't know what it is about 12 fret acoustics and that slotted headstock, but mercy this thing is nice.
I'm not a Taylor guy, but those 12-fretters are cannons. Just crazy loud and 'big' for their size.
I'm not a fan of slotted headstocks - too fiddly - but I'm interested in the 12-fret aspect. My slope D Bourgeois is a 12-fret, and I think that the fact that the bridge is more centered in the lower bout than it is in a 14 fret may be a consideration in its tone. That Taylor is a guitar I would really like to try.
Pedals : Boss DS2 - I had one a while back, and sold it as I didn't use it. Foolish move...
Amps : Vox AC15, or (more favoured) Supro Comet 1610RT.
Planks : Gibson LP Studio.
Misc : A bunch of Tonerider pickups to monkey with in my partscasters.
That said - I'm really looking forward to gigging this weekend with the gear I already have.
Oh good God, yes...
Lots of stuff I lust for, most of which I can't remotely afford, like a Carr amp.... Not sure I can even afford this right now...
