Fun fact... Every Emily Dickinson poem can be sung to the tune of the Gillian's island theme.

I have to change mine. It's a plain old telephone rign that every one has, including the guy on the radio talk show I was listening to this morning while driving to Baton Rouge. I thought it was my phone going off, and started swerving on I-10 trying to pull it out of the holster. Yeah, I know. Shouldn't mess with the cell phone while driving.

I hate ringtones. Nothing worse than an inconsiderate ***** that doesnt put his phone on vibrate.

We are in the middle of a conversation and "im bringing sexy back" starts playing from your pocket.

This person is usually rude enough to answer it and have a five minute conversation with somebody while sitting at the table eating lunch with me.

Ive gotten up and left before. You have something more important going on clearly, and so do i.

This used to piss me off, but doesn't really any more. Even at company meetings where everybody has their phones off, they're still clicking away on their iPads or whatever during the meeting. If my livelihood depends on me taking a call during lunch, I'm gonna take it, unless I'm having lunch with someone more important to my business. I figure it's the same for a lot of people nowadays, so I don't get too worked up about it.

I hate ringtones too, so my cell is usu. off or on vibe. But I do have one as my murderous fallback (for special circumstances): the intro to Gang of 4's Anthrax ----from the start of the feedback into the guitar figure, bass, and drums parts right up to the point where the vocals are going to begin (from their updated "revisited" version of the 1st album).

Sure, i get that, so keep your phone on mute and if you meed to take a call get up and take it. Please dont have it in the middle of the reastaurant while stuffing your face and looking at me.

Im in sales i certainly get it. Unless youve missed an appointment, customers are ok with you telling them that you will call them after lunch. "hey mr smith i just jumped out to grab a quick bite let me call you back in 30 minutes. "

One of the girls at work has a text notification that sounds like a four-year-old ringing her tricycle bell. It goes off only once.

I want it for my phone ringer. One ring only. I don't know if I can make it happen. I'm on it now.

I tried once to make a custom ringtone of the intro to an original song I'd recorded, but I'm not tech savvy enough. I got as far as having the mp3 snippet ready, but figuring out how to actually upload it to my phone proved too complicated

maybe i should have my kids do it

anyway i went with some dumb free option, at least it's not too annoying, it's a little run of acoustic rhythm guitar
