What's the telecaster equivalent of a Les Paul through a Marshall?

I love a Telecaster through anything.
Lately though my Roland JC-40 with a Tech 21 GT2 is
    “the poor stan’s Vibrolux Reverb.”

Actually you can make any Amp into anything You want it to be with a Tech 21 product.

Any Amp....except a Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker which to me is The Impossible Dream.
If Tech 21 can really nail THAT - it’s “GAME OVER.”

IMHO its Fender Telecaster through a Fender Amp (your choice).

Roy Buchanan played through a Vibrolux.

Agree with a Tele into an AC15.

Vox tends to get overshadowed by Marshall and Fender (because they are great amp makers too) but I think that's a little unfair. An AC15 or AC30 is magic in a cabinet.

+1, but I'd go one step further. This LP into a Marshall is a very narrow world view, a mission with severe limitations. Too much "been there and done that".

I agree you can't pigeon hole Teles or the players of Teles, and further I'd say the reason we can't choose just one "mate" for a Tele, is because we're not supposed to. It can be just about any guitar you want it to be, or need it to be and honestly, an LP, at least one with HBs, is not that.

This man saved the Les Paul guitar from extinction, essentially. And I thank him for that. It was a great ride, while it lasted. But the Tele never needed such a savior.

A Tele and a blackface Super Reverb. Love the four tens.

Joe Walsh claims the Tele and a Champ is the sound ala "Funk 49".

I love my Tele through my Champ with it cranked and the Tele on the bridge PU.
I love my Tele through my Deluxe reverb, set clean and the Tele in the middle PU position.
I love my Tele through my Marshall Plexi, on the edge of crunch and the Tele on the neck PU.

That's a rubbish poem ;) but very true. I also love it through my Vox MV50AC.

Same goes for my Esquire, but I have to be a bit more creative with the tone/pickup tap/mid boost controls.

The neck and the cab were sprayed with the same tinted Nitro clear, so I guess that makes them even more of a pair:

It's gotta be Tele through a Twin Reverb, or maybe a Tele through a Peavey Backstage Plus, right? :)

For me it would be a JMI era AC15. A tweed deluxe and a matches lightning 2x10 are runner ups.

I like many of the selections so far.

Additionally, whatever amp Leo Nocentelli used on the Meters albums for Josie.

Just played a gig Friday with my ‘52 reissue through a JTM 45 — awesome. Bright, snappy, clean or over-driven. Of course, the pedals helped, especially Earthquaker EQ at the end of the signal chain (before Boosta Grande for leads).

I'm pretty much going with a tele and a SF twin.
(but the Peavey is a definite runner up!!...good call)
