I paid 1999.99 for my Parallel Universe American Elite Telecaster HSS. I would do it again if I didn't already have it.

My wife bought me my SRV Strat, so that is where I voted. The most I spent was a new Baja. Overall, very happy with both. I know a $4000 custom will be better than both, but I don't play enough / well enough to appreciate or justify the difference.

Spent about $700 on my Gibson SG. Never really had the money to spend more than $1000 on a guitar. Payment plans are the devil, but they've made it possible to get some decent gear.

Had my ngd 2 weeks ago an Eric Johnson thinline Strat
$2400 Canadian plus tax . Best part my boss paid for it as a thank you. Most I ever spent was $ 450 for my 1972 black Tele custom in 1973 was a huge thing for me as I was making $3.50 an hour at the time

My first 330 was bought in the early 90s for $400 from a small ship. My best deal was a Trini Lopez Custom for $400 at GC a couple of years later. Neither I nor GC knew what it was. I was sold on the humbuckers, ebony fretboard and Gibson name.

I've bought primarily used guitars through the years . The most I spent was $700 for a '62 Oly white Strat in 1980 . Recently spent $550 for a Reverend Sensei Jr.

I paid almost $1500 for a deluxe edition strat with the S-1 switch and she's lovely. The better guitar is the American Player strat msrp $999⁹⁰ I got for $600. I have two Teles Squier and Mexi, but I may use the S-D 59' minibucker on the Mexi and put it in the classic vibe Tele.I have a glacier blue 60s anniv.Strat that needs to be played before I decide to scrap her, I have a Frankenstein guitar possibly my favorite that is a Squer Jag-master with an Ibanez Roadster Ii neck that would bleed flames with proper puppies. My rare Ibanez Artcore TM-71 Talman would be incredible if I added a Godswood bridge or Pearly Gates neck, possibly a Gibbons Whiskerbucker in the bridge,.. My 2008 LP studio supposedly has some darkbursts in it but I am not certain. I also have a Hondo Ii professional Fender Lead (something, with 2 Seymour humpups) though it's [email protected] to dis'it

Approximately $5,000 for A Gibson Les Paul Custom in 2016 and $5600 for a Wine Red Gibson L4CES hollowbody, dual humbucker, archtop in 2012. Both have real ebony fretboards instead of richlite or rosewood. Definitely worth it. I have had a lot of offers from people to buy those guitars from me, but I still have both and will not sell them. The L4CES does feed back very easily, and not in a good way, if you get too close to an amp or a monitor. But that's to be expected with a hollowbody jazzbo guitar.

Nice! Looks like you "still have the old tagger on it," a la Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap, LOL.

$950 for a Hot Rod '62 Strat. That's puny Australian dollars, so under $700 in greenbacks.

Was it worth it? You betcha, it was a steal.

My Squier 70's Vintage Modified strat that I bought 3 years ago cost me €370 new. Other than that I think the most expensive one in todays money must be the pre lawsuit Memphis Les Paul copy that I bought 2nd hand in 1984 for 7000 Bfr (around €175) at that time but inflation corrected it would be around €415 now.
The rest is a series of 2nd hand buy that never wher more exensive than €200 and a few steals under € 100.

€1780 (in cash!) In the summer of 2005 for a Fender Jazz Bass 1975 Reissue, the most beautiful bass I've had, looked gorgeous in his natural ash/maple wood finish but.. ..heavy as hell! Eventually the bass was stolen from my car in the winter of 2010 and never ever found since.

The most? In 2016, I paid $3450 for my 2007 Collings City Limits. I was in the used market for an R8/R9, budgeting up to $4200 if necessary. I like it better than any LP I've played. At any price.

£550 (~$700) for my HW1 Tele in 2006. Made a few tweaks over the years but mostly unaltered.

If I was regularly gigging I would treat myself to something fancy and Thinline ~$2000 mark but it would be purely an act of indulgence :)

2700 ish plus for an ebony Gibson Dove in 2005 is the most i've ever paid, second most is my LP standard that i just got for 2500 ish. Prior to that.. way prior back to my first nice guitar in 1990, Martin D-28 just about 1000. In between I have a stratocaster, 4 telecasters, a casino and a sheraton a 62 AV P-bass and a few other acoustics.
