What's the ending chord to Wicked Games
||: Bm | A | E :||
E add 9
Listening to the original recording by Chris Isaak right now, both acoustic guitars pick the lower four strings of the ol' cowboy E-major chord. (E0 A2 D2 G1). Preceding that, however is an A major chord where the lead guitar heavily implies a add9/sus2 (or, simply put, an open B string). Ending on an E add9, preferably putting the F# on fret four of the D string, may sound more open and colorful in an acoustic context however.
This one is by the week end. Which artist do you mean ?
The 2 overlaping guitars makes it weird. I would say a straight E chord.
Chris Isaac plays a e7 though.
Johnny K, are you the “Wicked Game” twins?
No. I can't grow a stache like that. But since the video was pretty helpful, i thought why not.
Well if Issack ends on E then the song ends on E.
In my acoustic duo we play it in Am, so that’s no help to you.
Actually, we pause on the final G - or A in original key - then launch into Dire Straits So Far Away.
