If we're talking about the $499 set - then I totally agree that's ridiculous!

I have an Abigail Ybarra made '69 Custom Shop middle pickup in my Project SE Special Strat that, while it does sound great, I still wouldn't pay the equivalent of $166 just to say I have it (I actually paid $62.75 mine)...

I brought up the various nocaster configs a couple years ago too. There were some
good responses on wire gauges, etc. and the current custom shop of 7.0 rating
with the 80s one in the 9.0 or 10 ohm.
HOwever, you are mentioning 2 custom shop 51 nocasters..? Did not see hand wound.
    Fender products.

    From previous posts

Thanks to sardinista i found it on this forum:

    Hand-wound '51 Loaded Nocaster Pickups
Bridge: A3, enamel (gauge unspecified, 43 awg?), ~9.38k
Neck: A5, enamel (gauge unspecified, 43 awg?), ~7.88k

    Compare that to the non-hand-wound...

    '51 Nocaster Pickups
Bridge: A3, enamel (gauge unspecified, 42 awg?), ~7.72k
Neck: A3, enamel (gauge unspecified, 43 awg?), ~7.9k
