Sometimes I think that folks in the marketing department don't quite think things through before publishing a photo. And people wonder where others get ideas for doing something stupid. This particular image is for a 2-way life ender. If the water doesn't get you, the tweezers will.

    Oh, and happy American Thanksgiving.

Well I presume the cut off caption might read something like 'Anti-Electrocution' construction'... is that possible?
    Still questionable content, though!

Was that on a TDPRI ad feed?

Even if that works...why would you even have this:

" Go ahead, try it!", photo suggestion, with the pretty hand with tweezers...

That's a lawsuit waiting to happen, no?

No, it was on FB. I cropped everything but the ad itself.

To be fair, the ad states "outdoor", but that could mean almost anything. Don't take tweezers to an outlet just because it is "outdoor rated", unless you really want to. Who am I to harsh your mellow?

... assuming the cord coming from the gizmo is the one connected to the plug

Maybe has a GFCI feature or something? Yeah, looks pretty stupid at first (and second and third) glance.

What? Haven't you always wanted to stick tweezers safely into an electrical outlet? At last, finally you can!! Call now! Supplies are running low!

FB...yeah that makes sense. Plugged or unplugged it's irresponsible and just plain stupid. That photo suggests it's OK to do something that should never be done under any circumstances. GFI or not the ad is way, way, way over the line.

That's a pic of TDPRI John checking the voltage on his strip. Cures his hangover, and straightens his hair for his gig all at the same time.
