I for some reason envision George Jetson walking into the room with all those retro-modern designs!
There were one or two vintage amps in there, like this 1957 Gibson GA-20.

1998 BJ on the bench. Made in Corona, revision C green PCB, Ruby tubes, no reverb. Sounds awful, worse than when it’s working correctly. Filter caps almost 30 years old, likely culprit. Belongs to a buddy but I really don’t want to work on this.

I was going to cover the body of my Vox Phantom/ Teisco 5 inspired build with black - white poka dot material, but the teardrop shape made that too difficult.

So I painted it white and added "dot" stickers(yardsale price stickers). Then sprayed black over it all. After it dries I can remove the stickers and spray clear.

Great idea!

Thanks. Took awhile, but it works. You can always change the pattern if you want like a spiral pattern would be cool.

The stickers worked well. Some lifted a bit while spraying and I have some touch up to do with a brush before clear gets sprayed.

What happens when you have parts and extra time on hand.
I call it the T-Rail!

More pickup info please!
This is just taped together til I try it out. Then I'll decide to keep as is or improve and make it more secure.
The Tele bridge pup is a Squier ceramic mag offering. I'm thinking of removing the steel poles and magnet, cutting a slot and installing a Alnico 5 bar mag in the slot like a Firebird as a possible mod.
The Rail pup is the inside of a ceramic mag lipstick tube pickups. Can't do much to improve it. These are the same rail coil pickups that are found in single coil size Tele/Strat humbuckers like the Hot Rails/Cool Rails and used in the PRail pickup.
Both pickups are wired in series and have a 10k DCR.
The neck pickup is a ceramic mag Squier Strat neck pickup with a 5k DCR.

Amoung the too many projects i have running at the same time is this 100 + year old peice of Hemlock with a bubinga top. At this point the plan is to bind the top with 1/4" white binding and paint the back and sides black. The Hemlock is salvaged for a factory that was demolished locally. I weight releived it because as a solid blank it weighed over 5 pounds. And then it was all clamps on deck to glue the top on
