That's great. It seems like most kids today are spoiled when it comes to toys. They want what they see on TV or what other kids have and don't usually want what we had as kids.;)

The movie Toy Story made some old toys popular again though.

IMG_20191217_133213129.jpg Ahh! the sweet sound of success:cool:This guitar has taken a couple of years to get right. Started with trapeze and floating bridge and many pickup combinations....
Finally have it sounding as good as it looks. Don't think I ever posted initial build pics: IMG_20191217_130332089.jpg finished set up. Here are a few build shots: IMG_20180216_143811274.jpg IMG_20180215_074339372.jpg IMG_20180215_074325777.jpg just finished adjusting intonation and pickups; ready to put the rubber to the road Friday night:D

Lined up the hardware, so I could mark and trim the outside of the neck to size. Also did some shaping to the body cutaways. note the oopsie on the 14th fret. Saw jumped on the cut, but it's filled and won't show once the frets are in.

    Guild mania.

Two of my jazz playing friends fell into an estate sale with a whole bunch of old jazz guitars. They picked up four old Guilds, I've already worked on one of them a few pages back and the new owner is already playing gigs with it. The other three came out of their cases today.

There is an incredible '72 Capri CE/100 that only needs a setup and minor repairs to binding. And a very nice '55 X150B that has binding coming loose in several places, but otherwise doesn't need much. And a '58 X350 that unfortunately needs to be completely rebound and a lot of other details

I'm a bit PO'd at my "buddies" for not telling me about their score...

My Trinity Tramp smoked & quit working a couple days ago.
Traced it down to a 100ohm, 5watt resistor.
Replaced with a 10watt. Now it’s singing again.
