I just got back from Montana - snow at 7500 feet. Winter is coming...
Winter is always coming
2 fanned fretboards 25.5 /24.5
Those look great!!
I made a carver's mallet while I'm waiting for a bridge for my bass project.
Been a kinda off the books project for various reasons
Don't really care for full scale basses but hey, we all do stuff
Anybody lookin for a pine body, I still have plenty of kitchen table left
To save needless repetition I'm posting these here. All the oak got a poly coat, only my 9 is still out in the sun
Love this weather,as long as there's A/C LOL
I'll take the one on the left!!!!
Or...it looks like a nice opportunity for a "river table" with an interesting musical hint...
3 part Harmony
Acoustic guitar, tenor guitar, baritone uke
Increasingly hard to get, more Malaysian oak!
Started rough carving my Streamer project. I might have to make a recess for the bridge like the old Warwicks with the 1-piece bridge have. I'm leaving that part for when my Kickass bridge arrives. I also have a long contour gauge and a set of violin maker's planes on order, but they could take a couple of weeks to get here.
Wow that looks really good!
Do you have the neck done or in process??
I have a Korean neck that I got several years ago from the GFS warehouse buyout, but the project it was meant for never happened. And that's what started this whole mess, I can't just leave a fully functional neck on the shelf
The full scale bass coming along
Yeh, a cedar body,my soft spot
Awesome. Will you be starting a build thread??
Here is a Router Table I have been working on and
a Thicknessing Jig for guitar bodies. I have no Idea if it works.
I fail to see how you can get any kind of accuracy out of a jig like that , but maybe I'll get lucky?
Oh and then it was like 90° in my shop.
