Nothing! Just cleaned my shop.....well, then I attached my newly finished neck to the body.

I butchered umm cut my Strat H/H pickguard for the 3 P90's and wired everything. Got to make the trem float and set the string heights. Then it'll be pickup height adjustment.

About Herb: He says “hi”. He is fine and kicking, a bit distracted by life and will soon be back on the forum.

The last few days it's been this:
    20190623_220806.jpg

What a freakin MESS! I've gotta hand it to Douglas, the finish on this neck could probably deflect a 50cal bullet and laugh about it.

I use card scrapers on nasty finishes like that. Much faster.

You know they have races on these things now? Oval dirt track races on hot rodded riding mowers without the mowing deck.

Got a track down here in Horn Lake, MS. I've seen a small bit about this on Velocity Channel awhile back.

Good luck in your race and be safe - safe enough and still have fun that is.

After letting 3 applications sit for almost 24 hours each I declare the neck finish as the undisputed champion.

I don't have any card scrapers, but I'm making due with a thin putty knife and using it like one. Definitely better results than the Citristrip.

Single edge razor blade or a utility knife blade works well.

The black ring around the mini bucker was bugging me so I made a tort one from the pickguard scraps.

I like it a lot better.
