Well, here is how I think this went down: John by intent connected one pin the wrong way. He knew I would take a look at it... and got tricked into this situation. :D Today I went to the ER and had my left hand checked out, just making sure there is no Richlite residue on the fingers. I got cleared and am allowed to go back to work tomorrow, even using public transportation. :D

Completed the Harley Benton LP kit. The finish is Rustoleum antique gold with a gold glitter lacquer. It looks fabulous.

I'm massively impressed with the quality of this kit, particularly the neck. I've had to do zero fret work. The action is low with no fret buzz.

Been focusing on necks lately to become an overall better builder. Finally made a new body. Due to not paying attention, I unfortunately had the template on backwards and drilled out the control cavity before I noticed. It would have been a cool looking body. But know I’m just going to paint it. 49EAB79B-0D1E-48BB-A9AD-251634250B6B.jpeg 5DB52537-8781-44A7-983C-65E112EF47D1.jpeg

Beautiful! I have some figured redwood just waiting to go on a few guitars. I'm thinking a super strat at a bare minimum. I just have to let it speak to me.

You could have had a supro/tele hybrid.

Taking advantage of some nice weather...got two on the bench at the moment..both are ash bodies with maple necks and both are 24.75" scale. Hope to have the cloth topped one finished up soon....still need to wet-sand and buff.

I've been considering a cloth cover on a body for awhile. I'm also concerned with keeping the cloth clean. Are you going to cover the cloth with some product to seal it or just leaving it as is?

You could run it through a planer or Drum sander and put a capo on it.

Did you end up doing the epoxy on this one? If so which epoxy and did you like doing it that way? I haven't a piece of fabric that will go on my second build whenever that happens.

Wow! Some cool stuff going on in here. I need a decent catchup!

Haven’t achieved much myself lately, but did cut out a new body shape idea, and shaped up my first neck template. And I keep staring at a couple of other proposed builds that seem to be going nowhere. :(

The finish box is out. I put whatever I'm spraying in the box have a space heater aimed in it keeps everything warm. once I spray everything goes back in the box to cure stays warm & dust free . The parts are on a piece of cardboard that slides in an out, also the box breaks down for storage. IMG_4473.jpg IMG_4471.jpg IMG_4472.jpg IMG_4473.jpg IMG_4471.jpg IMG_4472.jpg
