A few pics from Day 2 of the Dallas International Guitar Festival.

This was the first thing I saw this morning as I walked the floor.

And that wasn't even his only '52 at the booth!

These were at the booth just a couple down from mine:

I also met Larry from Clearfork Designs. What a great guy! He's one of those guys you just instantly like when you meet him -- very warm and friendly.

It was a great second day, and I'm looking forward to finishing up tomorrow. I'll try to get some more shots of the floor and booths for you.

Exactly! No matter how often I log in, I just cant' keep up with this thread. So many great things I want to comment on, ask questions, etc. etc., but it would literally take hours. Every day.

Hey everyone, I just got home from my weekend at the guitar show, and I'm pretty beat. It was a great weekend, though. Had tons of great feedback on the straps, the brand, and the logo. We completely sold out of shirts and some of the strap colors. It was pretty awesome because I usually just had someone strap on my demo guitar to try a strap, and that would sell the strap.

I didn't get nearly as many pics as I wanted today, but I did get a few.

I'd already seen a few '52 Teles, a couple of Esquires, and a '50 Broadcaster, and I saw this one today to complete my Tele Evolution Bingo --

All in all, it was a great weekend. I'd never attended a guitar show before, so this was an entirely new experience, and I was so glad I went. Getting to meet Redd and so many other TDPRIers was fantastic!

On my workbench, I will have my son's first LP style guitar, made by Raven West Guitars, being upgraded today. He's had it 7-8 years, and it's been played heavily as his #1 guitar easily 80% of the time. All that play has worn out the pickup selector switch, which broke a couple of weeks ago.

Me being me, I can't just return an electric guitar to playable condition without adding SOMETHING new and exciting to it, so I ordered all new guts, including 4 push-pull pots, a new 3-position switch, vintage wire, caps, output jack, and 4-lead PAF humbuckers. I decided my stamp on this guitar would be the Jimmy Page setup.

75% of the parts came Friday and I expect to get the remainder today. I also will be putting copper shielding in the control cavity to lessen interference while in split coil mode. I'll do my best to provide some before-during-after photos along the way.

    Here's hoping all goes well!

I'm planing to build a Book Diddley style guitar this summer. I have a neck, bridge, and neck plate from my old First Act that I'll use. I'll find a couplet humbuckers for it and put a tele control panel fit with 500k pots and a standard 3 way switch. Also gonna paint it red then find a finish for it.

This one was all lime green...I needed something on it to make it pop and break up some of that green...well...I painted it black instead and then crafted a sheet metal pick guard. I am much happier now with the way this looks.
