My new workbench, made from an old door frame.
The drawers on the wall, that I hang the tools on, are from an old desk and have dovetail joins, I couldn't through them away.
    AND
A beautiful piece of maple our Helmut (I build my own) send me from the USA.

Your work bench looks like some out of a catalog - way to clean.
What are you trying with the bird food on the maple in the last picture - Is there a trick I don't know to turn this into birds eye maple?

    That's no camel toe....

Nick, does your workshop always look like that or is a trick of the light?

This is the light during the day and until the sun falls, if this is the question Kevin.
If the question is about how it looks so clean. The answer is, my friend vacuum cleaner is responsible for that.

I'm still gagging on that picture Rob posted. If Ida known that was gonna be the result of what I posted, I woulda crushed my typing fingers in a vise first.

;) . . . And speaking of vices, Nick, is that a homebuilt wooden vise in your shop bench photos? Very cool. More details, please.:cool::cool::cool:
BTW, Mrs. Stratenstein and I went to Athens pizza on Friday night. Had Greek salad with lots of Feta cheese (but not enough Greek olives) and the Athens Special Pizza, mmmmm:)

Here's everything that I'm working on at the moment.

I've got to hurry up and get the lacquer on the 2 on the left and spray the top coats on the blue one. We're rapidly approaching the time of year when spraying will be impossible because of humidity and temperature.

I wasnt a big fan of the bright blue color. I am a dark blue kind of guy. The color on this one now.... Danm thats good. Did the lacquer turn it that much darker? I absolutely love that.

The pizza night at Athens pizza sounds very good.
Did you see the Elvis photo Rob upload?

That wooden vice has a very good grip ,can hold a whole guitar, the grip is perfect also for a neck to shape.
I have made it this way so the jaws can open enough to hold for clamp two half of woods for guitar bodies.
I will send you the plans since I cannot upload it here.
If anyone else wants them you can send me your emails.

Thanks, Michael. I'm not sure if you're talking about the lighter lacquer as being before I stripped it down or after, but the lacquer didn't really darken after the last set of pictures. This was just taken in a darker room from a different angle.

It might be just the light. The lighter color is much more bright - turkish blue color. Just like purple and do I dare say it... green... that isnt my favorite color :D
But make it dark blue, dark purple, dark green and I am totally hooked :D The picture here was totally spot on.

There's less on my workbench today than yesterday. I spent a little while cleaning.

Next up isn't guitar-related. I'm making a die set that puts a particular contour on the edge of a piece of plastic and punches a whole bunch of 1/8" holes in it.

I did the cleaning while the band saw was doing it's thing cutting the pieces.

I don't know how he got that Pepperoni special in his hand, maybe he popped into Pizza Hut for a little dessert. Looks like he's already had a few.

Changed the magnets in the bridge p90 on my Godin Kingpin II from A5 to A2.....a Seymour Duncan with a broken wire was the donor. Changed the sound of the pickup from trebley and brash to greasier and less bright.
