Thanks.:) Now, I have to try to duplicate this technique, which could be a problem as I'm not sure what I did right.

Got out the trusty Wind-'O-Matic and wound a couple pickups for the bass I've been working on. That counter only has 4 digits, so you're looking at 10,208 turns for the bridge pickup there.

Here's the pair. Next up are lead wires and potting. I have to get a new crockpot for potting these because they don't fit in my old one.

At the rate I'm going, I'll have my bass finished by 2017 for sure... Unless I run into any snags that is.

It's not what is on my workbench today, it's all about my workbench. A really beat-up picnic table at a campground located in Columbia Falls, Montana located a short 20 minute drive to Glacier National Park.

Glacier NP is pretty darn sweet. Did the "Going to the Sun" drive maybe twenty years ago with my then new wife... unforgettable. (at least that's what I believe the route is called)LOL

Corian nut. Nice compliment to the tortoise on the rest of the guitar.

Some progress with a couple of guitars and a tiny side project as a gift for a 13 year old lady.

Group shot. Truss rods and fretboards for everybody this coming week. I reclaimed some koa my friend and owner of Arbor Snowboards gave me and glued it to an alder blank. This rest of this koa went into the original Arbor Snowboards production 20 years ago. View attachment 250112 View attachment 250113

    Hey Mark!

It's nice to see the brood growing. That Koa will be sweet! How is it going?
