I so often think that overseas companies miss the mark with company names. Eastwood is OK...Blueridge was a smart move...Edwards? Meh. Johnson? Urban?Nope.
The cheap tool companies have it down...Pittsburgh! Yeah that's an American tool name!
So...what do you name your overseas guitar company that inspires that Mom and apple pie feeling?

I've always thought Hooker was a good name for a instrument company. The advertising would be super fun. "Get your son a Hooker this Christmas" "Up your game, Get a Hooker" etc.

Another odd one was “ Lyle” who wants a Lyle? Lyle was in Projection Club before he joined a light show and moved to the Bay Area and became “Nightglow”.. ( I was in projection club so power down..) Perhaps they were going for Lyre, and they made a run w/ a typo and rolled w/ it?

As to the OQ.. I always thought “Colt” had a variety of rugged ‘git er done applications. You could do relics based on the Ersay collection...

Something somewhat regal and firearms-esque would sell well in my part of the country:
    Winchester
    Remington

Something hot-rod-esque would do well, too:
    Challenger
    Charger
    Flathead
    Deuce
    Chop Top

That would be a great name for an amp company. The ad copy/feature description possibilities are limitless.

True story, about 10 years ago, Kustom had a ad for a full stack w/ a gal in a mini-skirt embracing the amp. The copy “Size DOES matter” ..

    Oh yes they did.
