Best band name I ever heard was “Harmonica Lewinsky”.
Worse name for a band I was in: “Young and Unique” Singers name was Bobby Young.
Another bad band name I was in was 6x9 (it became the New Bohemians)

I saw a bio of a band member, about 30 years old, and it listed 13 bands he had been in
I also like to see "influences".

An old friend from NY went through the ordeal of “the band name meeting”. Two hours of hideous ideas from the band members - except my friend.

After two hours of BS, somebody said, “Jim, you haven’t made a suggestion. What do YOU think the name should be?”

He growled, “How about Sonny and the F__ktones?”

Meeting ended right after that.

Sigh. “Influences”. IMO, a lame and overused category of qualifications.

If you’re gonna put yourself out there, your “resumé” or “CV” is less important than a simple audio file of your playing, demonstrating how you sound playing the genres of music you want to play. That is more important and more effective, IMO. And getting an in-person audition to MUTUALLY assess if the personalities involved are a good fit.

“Influences” sounds so 20th Century, to me. Show how you play.

Worst name: Neutrophil and The Left Shift Band.

A biology/medicine joke so obscure that even the wannabe hematologists in my class were baffled when they came to see us play.

The band also sucked, so it was a fitting name after all. Lol

That reminds me of a band in the early 80’s called Spin 3 and The Entanglements. Quantum particle behavioral reference nobody understood.
