First car was a 1973 Pontiac Grand Prix. Purchased for $450, and maybe not worth that. It did have an after market 8-track. The tires were so bad when I bought it that I slid sideways down a (not very steep) hill.

My second car is the one I wish I could have back. 1962 Buick LeSabre. Bought from my great-grandpa in 1985 with 73K actual miles. That thing was a tank, fast, and you could fit about 12 people in it.

My first car was a 1966 Pontiac Tempest Custom. It had a 326 V8. I'm the skinny guy bent over putting the convertible top boot on. I rebuilt and beefed up the engine in auto shop.

Later, I had a '73 Gran Prix like the one above.

'55 Chevy 2-door painted primer grey. 283 with a 4-speed, headers and a Holley. A friend had built it for the strip, but his girlfriend started a family and ended his racing career. I gave him $125 and put it on the street.

My first car was a 1968 Rover 2000TC. The car had belonged to my brother-in-law, whom passed away suddenly. The Rover ate starter bendix gears monthly, and was somewhat less than reliable. I bought it from my sister, and drove it for about a year before selling it to buy a much more reliable VW bug.

The first of many was a '52 Ford 2-door with a flathead V8. Pretty fast little car, for it's time. I bought it for $60 in 1962...it would be really nice to have today...

I had the Italian version of the Mini , an Autobianchi a 112 , later became a Lancia. Really nice little car , wayyy better than the Mini.
With a bunch of Abarth goodies it was awesome at the time , pulled 8400 rpm in 4´th gear , the oil cooler was needed !
    That was in 1982 , I was 17.

!966 Ford Mustang. 200ci straight six and a POS light-duty non-synchro 1st gear three speed. Had the tranny rebuilt once, then said hell with it when it blew again and sold the car.

Interesting how that looks not unlike the contemporary British Vauxhall Cresta - not too surprising since they're both GM brands, hence I guess the family resemblance.

'61' VW Bug, 6 volt. Bought it in November & drove it thru one wicked cold CNY winter. Like driving a meet freezer. Started but stalled alot. Some drunk kid home on leave from the army smashed it in front of my house with his dad's LTD just as the weather was getting nice. I got $1600 for it..Oh well.
