Gee, thread title here seems to assume it was the norm to buy a whole harem of guitars last year? ;)

I assembled a couple - including a Gilmour 'Black Strat' tribute that I'm really pleased with, but it was just the one outright purchase for me -
MIM Cabronita Ash Blonde. Very happy!

Yes, it is a piezo located under the bridge.

But the most fascinating aspect of this guitar, is that it sounds more like a fine acoustic guitar than some other acoustic guitars (plugged in). It has a fabulous and very believable sonic rendition of an acoustic guitar. Yet, has no feedback, has onboard EQ and weighs only around 3 pounds (<1.5 kg).

These two. Technically the Gibson was a trade. The tele is fantastic... I got it for < $400 at GC last week. This is the same GC FSR as I see above, with a 25db mid boost, and a fat neck. The boost gives a really nice level of control over what's hitting the amp. Kinda like having an on board Tube Screamer!

Since it is now 2013 I won`t include this one since I got it last summer:

I DID buy this one in 2013 a few days ago and and massaged it into something playable.

Not in production any longer. Additionally, they were fairly rare during their production years. The original price was somewhere around $2999 I think. No wonder they didn't sell that many. Kind of reminds me of the Chevy SSR - great product, just priced out of reach for the average market.

The earlier models were called "Concert". They renamed the guitar to "Bronze".

A 2009 Am Std P-Bass in Candy Cola Red I picked up in Vancouver. I rented it the previous year and swore if it was still available I'd make an offer. I immediately set it up with some flatwounds.

I LOVE the tone of that bass!

This isn't mine but mine's identical:

A nice blue MIM Stratocaster I found used from my local music store. Rosewood neck, nice feel after getting set up. I think some one bought it to learn to play and then gave up. I got it for around $300. It's with my bass player's right now. I left it at practice and then I got sick. Looking forward to playing it again soon.
