'56 reissue P90 Goldtop. Insanely good guitar - done most gigs with it and has paid for itself.

A flawless 15 y.o. American '52 RI Tele. I can't believe it's a '97. It was given an excellent PLEK job before being put up for sale, but the shop/machine owner didn't upcharge for it.

Well, I'll limit this to guitars that I bought and kept as I ended up building some really good ones that I let go of.

Music Man Axis Supersport. Traded some cash and a strat with a member on strat talk.

As good as it is, I really want an Albert Lee HH. I have this guitar sold to a buyer who I sold my best strat to. He's waiting for a yearly bonus to come through.

I have actually been selling off many of my more expensive guitars. I got 2 that just do the job perfectly for little $$.
My Epi ES-335 pro is my "luxury car" model. So smooth and drives like a dream.
My MIM '50s is my "sportscar." I can feel every bump in the road.

These two do it all for me.

My best guitar purchase of the year was my Danelectro U-1. got it for just under $120 used and it has become my go to guitar. As far as I can tell it is a late 90's Korean model and it doesn't "do it all" or have "killer tone" it's just fun and quirky. Fits what I play perfectly and does both mean and clean very well. here is the GC pic.

An unexpected windfall meant I bought a few guitars this year. A Classic Vibe 50s Tele, a Baja, an Epi LP Ultra II and a Washburn A20. They're all great but this Eternal is the best. I didn't get on with the vintage string spacing so I replaced the bridge with a Wilkinson. I also added a personalised logo which makes the guitar sound much better.

it's my first pull from the guitar rack and I would keep it if I ever had to pare my collection down to just one axe.

It's also the only guitar that I didn't want to change pickups on... the custom DiMarzio humbuckers sound sweet.

My second favorite this year is the 2012 AmStd FSR Tele... but that's hardly news around here.

Do you know what they call that color? I've only seen it once before...a U2 that I sold for some silly reason.

I did more selling than buying, but this Epi Sheraton came my way and it's a sweet playing guitar.

Thanks - I agree! I love Faded Tobacco finishes in general, but I thinks this one is especially nice.
