D'Addario NYXL 11s when I feel spendy, but usually just the regular 11-49s by them.

Right now I have steel GHS Boomers 11-52s on my '72 that I picked up on a whim - but I've discovered I'm not crazy about them. I'm just keeping them on long enough to build up enough irritation to change them. My CV50 has the regular D'Addario 11s on them.

I like Elixirs on all of my guitars. Great tone and they last a long time. 10-46 on electric guitars and 12-54 on acoustics. I might move to 11s on acoustic guitar if the arthritic fingers don't cooperate soon.

Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky (SKU 3222)

    E-.09
    B-.11
    G-.16
    D-.26
    A-.36
    E-.46

Combines G-B-E strings from the .09 set and E-A-D strings from the .10 set.

Absolutely perfect for me. I got so frustrated that I couldn't get some basic country bending on the G and B strings quite right, but I had been using Ernie Ball .10s. Now, you would not think that a simple change in lower gauge would make a difference, but it sure does.

Plus, I feel the lower gauge on the G-B-E strings really does not lose the punch, still sounds fantastic yet very bendable.

Lastly, dirt cheap...and they come in 3-packs....which marries nicely with my weekend 6-packs and sometimes 12-packs.

    D'Addario NYXL 9.5-44

Tried bunch of ghs, Fender and D'Addario 9-11 sets since started playing again last spring. These ones feel like a sweet spot to me.

Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 10-46... I used to have 9s on all my guitars for a while and now trying 10's ... as expected they feel a bit heavier and harder to bend... but all in all I think it works. 9.5 sounds interesting...

I use D’Addario XL Heavy (12-54) on my avatar guitar.
My other two Tele’s get D’Addario XL Medium (11-49).
    Great, consistent stuff!

D'addario or Fender pure nickel or at least nickel wound. .010s on Tele scale, .011s on Gibson. Must have wound 3rd, plain 3rd is a deal breaker.
