Benny Hill and the bicycle
It varies. Sometimes we're like Paul & Jamie from Mad About You. To be honest, I used to watch that show and wished I had a woman in my life that was smart, funny and sexy. Got my wish.
On my bad days it's like whatever their names were on According to Jim (too lazy to do a search for a show I never liked.) in that sometimes I'm the big goof married to the out of my league hot babe doing immature things that annoy her.
For years we were like Susan and Steve from Coupling. I was single and had to figure out how to be in a relationship.
It least it's a classic!
Eric and Tami Taylor from Friday Night Lights.
Ozzie and Harriet...my wife: smart and classy, me bemused and befuddled
As a frustrated single man, it'd have to be George Castanza. Sad, huh????
Easy. Herman & Lily Munster...
Bobbie and Pamela Ewing except older
George Costanza's parents.
Whenever I think of that show, I'm reminded of the scene in "Seinfeld" where George Costanza grimaces in horror as he's watches "Mad About You" in bed with smiling fiancee Susan.
Does King Kong vs. Godzilla count?
Exactly. My wife loved that show while I wanted to gouge my eyes out rather than watch it.
Yup Me too ,She even admitted that She was first drawn to Me because of My resemblance to Herman/Frankenstein!......But then We also have the Fred and Wilma -Doug and Carrie (King of Queens)thing goin on... Yeah She is petite and Beautiful ...I am well.....Frankenstein(esque) .I get a lot of the "How the #$%@ did YOU get HER questions
except, you chased her until she got you probably....
Archie and Edith Bunker.
Mini-rant, but I detest all the modern shows that depict men as dumb, henpecked, powerless, submissive and constantly cowering in fear from their wives. Even more unfortunate is that it seems to be a reflection of real life for many couples nowadays. Call me old school, but I'm more of the Ricky/Lucy or Ward/June Cleaver camp - the man works, brings home the money and makes the decisions in the household, and the woman stays home and has dinner on the table for him when he walks in.
...I reckon it'd be Earl's....
But they used to live in DALLAS ,not Houston
We're so weird that I've never seen a couple on TV or the movies come close.
Phil and Clare Dunphy, Modern Family.
