I recently found this little series of films on Youtube starring the late great Nick Curran called "The Deal." Dave Leroy Biller also appears in it. What tune is Dave playing here? It sounds like it's an organ tune. I know I've heard it before, but the title just escapes me. It's around the 3:21 mark.

Pretty sure it's "Fine" by Danny Gatton.

I hear where you're coming from E5RSY. I still think this is a much earlier organ tune that Dave's playing, especially what he's playing over the V and IV chords.

I was thinking the same thing, but I can't put my finger on it, either.

Makes perfect sense. Shoulda known it was Jimmy.

Here's the Gatton and Joey D. cut I referenced above.

Muddy's band used to play that as an opener way before any of those guys back in the 60s. Dave Biller is playing some cool stuff there on the swing tune.

Miss Nick Curran. Guy could hear a tune one time and be able to replay it. Doing it with a cheap Squier 51. All these guys with great voices loved Little Richard.

Dave Biller wins the coveted brookdalebill MVP award.
The guy is master of more “bags” than anyone else around here.
He’s brilliant on guitar, bass and pedal steel, I think he’s been exploring non-pedal steel, too.
He plays rock, country, legit-jazz, and gypsy jazz with equal skill.
The only other guy I know of who is as skilled and versatile is John Jorgenson.
    Anyways, Bravo Dave!
